A. The quarter-turn valves are used for quick arresting of the flow. However, they may damage the piping system due to water hammer or shock when the valves are closed too quickly. The multi-turn valves close slowly with multiple turns of gear / wheel, thereby eliminating the water hammer.
A. The choice of the process used in copper fitting formation is based on their difficulty and cost-effectiveness.
